On a planet of 7 billion and more human beings, individuality gives rise to chaos. Persons are easily identifiable and controllable when grouped into collectives. These collectives might be macronations or micronations. Obedience to authority is inculcated at a young age. Adherence to rationality is to be encouraged at all costs but stratification of societal layers always leads to segregation.
This predominantly economically segregated collective is grouped into a large nation-state narrative where each individual is mandatorily expected to be proud of being included. Freedom of will is touted as the de-facto quality of a human being but you find that these free-willed entities are being spoon-fed manufactured enthusiasm for pre-ordained practices and approved conventions.
Can you ever be truly free?
Introspection leaves you in the lurch where you'll be stuck in purgatory, hanging above collectives with no place to go. Humans have always been social creatures with equal participation for maximum productivity and exploration. But certain micro-societies ingrain themselves in fundamental structures found in administration with a stranglehold over resources. In fact, these individuals or 'convenient collectives' then proceed to group the remnant population into Human Resource.
No matter what, you will be managed!
